The primary role of ourselves as your appointee will be to ensure that you receive any benefits you are entitled to, as well as liaising with the Department of Work and Pensions to ensure that any changes to your circumstances are accounted for.
We offer a person centred and outcome focussed Corporate Appointeeship service to those who require support with their daily money management needs. This can be a full appointeeship or it can be assistance in empowering the client where possible to manage their own monies.
Through this, we aim to safeguard vulnerable individuals and relieve them of financial stress providing full transparency of fund management. This can also alleviate pressure on family members who may be used to dealing with the client’s paperwork. Our expertly trained staff are always on hand to support individuals with their money management, payments and budgeting requirements.
Although we work closely with local authorities and other governing bodies to ensure that we are offering as much support as possible, as an independent Corporate Appointee authorised by the Department of Work & Pensions (DWP) there is no conflict of interest.

The service I received from Barrie Bookkeeping has been excellent overall. When we were granted funding for my moms direct payment it soon became clear there was very little help and guidance out there around how this would all work practically. Luckily we were put in touch with Barrie Bookkeeping who explained everything that was required from us and how the process will work. There was an issue originally around personal contributions but BBPS helped us to sort all of this out so my mum's PA could be paid.

I am the sister of a client who is now in receipt of a direct payment. My brother is not able to organise the paperwork side of things for the direct payment and requires assistance with this, which is where I stepped in.
I have to praise Sue for her patience, understanding and knowledge on the topic of direct payments and the whole process.
